How does HFRA go about fulfilling its mission?
We act as a resource to parents, easing them through the often-difficult transition process by offering early prevention support and in-home visitation services around critical areas including creating a nurturing and supportive family environment, learning how to properly bond with a new baby, gaining a better understanding of child development, gaining a better understanding of how to use positive discipline, and more.
How does HFRA reach families?
We work with local hospitals, prenatal clinics, and local agencies to identify more than 600 parents each year. Through a series of early intervention initiatives including our amazing, free Parent Guide that includes supplies and valuable information about their baby and what they can and should expect in the years to come, we help them through weekly 1-hour home visits to prepare for their new life and help set the stage for a healthy and nurturing family environment.
